Hello!
I was reviewing the install docs for the Clifford Solaris and something doesn't seem right with the Manual Transmission parking brake/brake input relay setup.
It would appear from the above diagram that anytime the vehicle is running and the parking brake is released the vehicle's brake lights stay on!? Pin 30 is connected to the Cold side of the brake light wire as well as the Brake Light Input of the Solaris.
Inserting a diode between the Brake Light Input wire (to prevent the relay from powering up the Brake Light) and the Cold side of the Brake Light wire is useless since the built in Black Jax4 feature uses this wire to flash the Brake Lights when it's about to shutdown the vehicle!
This doesn't seem correct.
Wouldn't this be a better solution?
1) Handbrake wire to Pin 86
2) Blue/Orange (Ground Out When Remotely Started) to Pin 87a
3) Ignition Out 12 volt to Pin 85
4) Pin 30 to Hood Pin Input
Any expert clarification will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

What the diagram show you it would with no dout keep the brake lights on. What the diagram is trying to show you is to hookup the relay to the brake wire so when it's up it would allow the remote start to activate.
I think it's a bad diagram to show what it's suppose to do.
I think there should be 2 diodes for this diagram. one for the relay and one from the brake light wire. Both going to the brake light wire on the alarm
