My wife bought me a Stellar RS1050 (Hoffman automotive Accessories) remote start for my 2010 F150 XLT 4x4. I do have Smart Keys and a simple remote keyless entry. I have looked all over but I can't find any installation info anywhere. The unit didn't come with anything except a basic wiring diagram but even that is pretty vague. I have a basic knowledge of this kind of thing. I have installed numerous car stereo systems but this thing has me pretty stumped. I don't know if I can find the wires I need under the drivers side or in the smart panel on the passengers side. Needless to say I need all the help I can get. Thanks in advance guys!

Is the Smart Key something you added to the vehicle?
Does the truck have a factory alarm system?
You will need a bypass module. A PKALL or a PKFM will work just fine.

Fords are pretty easy, but I am not familiar with how to interface with a Smart Key setup. Haven't done one yet.

Use a DMM to find, test, and verify the wires on your truck. I have never used the R/S system you have. It should handle the Starter, Ignition, and Accessory circuits of the truck.
Not sure on the keyless entry. The three page install instructions are real vague.

Everything is stock. The truck is just a standard Texas Edition xlt. Ford made a gazillion of them. It has two key find with lock, unlock, and a red security system button. The security button will make the horn sound but I have no idea what else it's for. The smart key is stock also. The RS system came with the box that you put a key in and the sys twists that key's transponder to send the signal to stay the truck. Nothing out of the ordinary really except that the instructions leave a lot to be desired. I imagine the install would be similar to other basic RS systems.

I'm actually working on a remote start install myself on a 04 prius. I'm using a evo-all for the bypass. Not saying you should. First time I have used it. Still working on installing the remote starter. But anyway here is their guide to installing one it has lots of good information/pictures that might help you find wires for your connections.

This is for the evo-one module install is has a built in remote starter.

This is the evo-all that works with a remote starter. It might be more comparable to your installation.
