Finally got the RS to work by installing the PKALL module. But now, the LCD remote wants me to push the FUNCTION button and then press the UNLOCK before it will accept commands. Usually it happens after a couple minutes or so after my last button press.

I recently found out how to set the clock so I'm sure I messed with the wrong setting at one point.

Any ideas?

Also, is there a place that details how to program the remote besides the clock? The only thing the installation manual shows is how to pair the remote.

Thanks!

Can't remember the Viper expression but I think your remote is in power save mode. Go to Viper.com and download the full owners manual.

Yep, you're right! I previously somehow put it in "Key Lock" mode.

I'll tell ya, it was like pulling teeth to find how to program these remotes. Can't figure why it's not explained in the any of the Viper manuals. Found the basics on how to maneuver around the menus on YouTube.

Thanks!

Done it a 1000 times and still have problems. It's the way they explain it (badly) in the manuals around p. 24.
