hey guys,
I have a Viper 4211v with Xpresskit dball2 bypass that I bought from sonic electronix. Anyway I got it installed on my 06 Jeep Grand Cherokee a little while ago. It worked great but then one day it caused my dash gauges, stereo/ac lights to flicker on/off continuously and gave me a check engine light. I scanned the code which came back to being an ignition switch (Grand Cherokee are known to have bad ignition switches). Changed the ignition switch and a couple weeks later same problem happens again. Replaced ignition switch 3 diff times and each time a couple weeks later the problem happens again. I was good for a couple months and now its happening again and im convinced it has to do with the remote start not working well with the jeeps extremely sensitive canbus system.

Can anyone guide me in the right direction with this?? What the problem sounds like it could be?

Thank you

forgot to add if I start the car with my key. no check engine light or flashing gauges. only when I remote start is when I get that problem.

How are your connections done? Is something shorting out inadvertently?

Can you list your connections?

check your ground or try a new one. also make sure canbus wires are soldered. if your ground for your dball is at all questionable, it can throw all kinds of madness, like cel and erractic engine behavior.
