Hi,
Ok so originally I always assumed getting tach through D2D was easier and a better choice. I think this way because I assumed its a digital more accurate reading from the computer rather than analogue off and injector or cam sensor.
Today this morning was cold. I have a Avital 4103LX with a DBall2 key start with immobilizer 2015 Hyundai Elantra.
When I remote started I swear it sounded like the starter may have over cranked a second or two. I know my install is proper, I know I learned tach proper but after hearing that grind this morning (unless Im hearing things) i dont know if I trust tach D2D
Also I have remote started 15 times since and no over crank
Do others here trust D2D tach? Its simple to run a wire from my RS to the cam sensor or fuel injector should I do this instead of D2D?
Any of you pros have comments on D2D vs Hard tach?
The only downside I see on hard tach is im splicing under the hood outide in the elements, Ill just cut the wire though so I can get some sealing with glue heatshrink over if i do it.

I have the box here it says 2012 on it and the install sheet says 2013 but the actual unit is tied up in the car Ill see if I can find one after.
How come?

Car did the sound again, its not the remote starter.
It sounds like its the timing chain......
1 year old 20,000 kms maybe should sound like this cold i dunno.
Anyway point is I thought and blamed the remote start and its not even related.
