Hello guys,I'm new here.I come from a background of installing low voltage systems such as cameras and security systems in buildings and stored. My wife has been nagging me to put a remote start in her bmw x5.So I recently purchased a rs1050 unit, ordered a factory key ring antenna.Im planning on making my own bypass.

Is it safe to assume I can use the factory key ring antenna i ordered and a spdt relay as a bypass in this car??Also according to the RS1050 I only see 2 ignition wires coming out of the module I believe the bmw has 3 such wires.Any ideas??

I am hoping to tap the yellow/red wire at the center console to lock and unlock the door using factory remote is this safe to assume to be right??

Any other issues i might run into??Im not an installer of these systems so Im just looking for some tips and help if any of you have done this.

Door trigger diagram

general remote start function looks easy, the doors lock and door triggers look to be a pain in the rear!

OK
1) Red primary at ignition X 2 = 12V+ constant
Violet or purple ACC MUST wire as IGN 2!
Lt. Green IGN 1 Might be 3 or more! all need powering up, relays etc.
BLACK / YELLOW START.
Note if AC isn't wired as ign 2 vehicle won't start.

Door trigger POS (+) RED / blue at puddle (floor) lamps.

Go into the doors for the lock wires as in ninja ZX9's post works better.

RED / black on your unit to blue on DEI 556 (same as 791 listed above).

You're much better using a DEI 556U MUST USE VALET KEY wired Euro fashion (see instruction booklet)

Last throw away that list you posted, the car wiring is all wrong AND bin the RA 1050, looks like expensive garbage.

I just looked up your product on Amazon, at the top of your page they show an Avital 4103X at half the price from a reputable manufacturer.
That will also give you window control.
