Hello

Customer had this Python 533: remote and security but he only wants to do the remote start for now. I have a question on the heavy gauge wires in 2 different cases:

1. Do i have to cut Starter wire (GREEN/ black)? If i do not cut this wire, can I combine the Purple and Green on the Python and connect them this Starter Wire? For the second starter, I will use relay as follow

87 to 12volt
86 to vehicle starter's ground out (-) when running (what does this mean and to which wire on the remote start?)
30 to vehicle second starter wire (black green)
85 to primary starter wire

2. Or if i have to cut the Starter wire (GREEN/ black) and connect as in the installation guide. I will also use the relay for the second starter but...

87 to 12volt
86 to vehicle starter's ground out (-) when running (what does this mean and to which wire on the remote start?)
30 to vehicle second starter wire (black green)
85 to primary starter wire <<< But which side of the cut wire (GREEN/ black) do I connect it to?

Thanks all

You can try not cutting it, and just connect the Purple to the cars starter 1 wire. If he's going to do the alarm later, why not just cut the thing now and do it according to the manual? Its just one more connection that you're right there for anyway.

Start2 relay is...

86+87 +12V Fused
85 -200ma Starter output on python
30 Start 2 wire on ign switch.

Also, to answer your question, the "Ground out when running" (status wire) gives a ground signal whenever the remote starter is active. Usually used for the bypass module.
