When I buy the new alarm/keyless entry/remote start doesn't the old keyless entry need to come out? This is the system I want to get from eBay. https://cgi.ebay.com/dll?ViewItem&category=33721&item=2417105934 Thanks Alot

you dont have to remove it just wire up new one and thats it both will still opeerate but you wont need the factory remotes.

No, leave the factory in there, it will not affect the new keyless entry, just put the remotes away somewhere they will still work also but you won't need them of course, if you sell the car and want to take out the new keyless, the factory still works

I hope you didn't buy that alarm/remote start combo yet. Its a POS. I'd bet money that some part of it breaks within a year.

You will need resistors and relays for this vehicle. Here is the wiring diagram sheet for this vehicle: | ITEM | WIRE COLOR |POL| WIRE LOCATION | | 12V|red, pink/black *1 |+ |ignition harness | | STARTER|yellow |+ |ignition harness | | IGNITION|dark blue |+ |ignition harness | | SECOND IGNITION|GREEN/ red |+ |ignition harness | | ACCESSORY|blk/orn & blk/wht |+ |ignition harness | | POWER LOCK|WHITE/ green *3 |+ |rear of fuse box under dash | | POWER UNLOCK|same wire | | | | LOCK MOTOR|ORANGE / black |+ |drivers kick panel | | UNLOCK MOTOR|blue/white |+ |drivers kick panel | | DISARM DEFEAT|pink/black |+ |rear of fuse box under dash | | PARKING LIGHTS +|BLACK / YELLOW | |dr kick or behind fuse box | | HEADLIGHTS|violet/white |+ |light switch | | DOOR TRIGGER|yellow |- |front of fusebox *4 | | TRUNK/HATCH PIN|tan/black |- |driver's kick panel | |TRNK/HTCH RELEASE|BLACK/ white |+ |driver's kick panel | | FCTRY ALARM ARM|GREEN/ orange *5 |+ |kick or BCM | |FCTRY ALRM DISARM|same wire | | | | TACHOMETER|BLACK/ gray | |coil pack *2 | | BRAKE WIRE|WHITE/ tan |+ |at brake switch | | HORN TRIGGER|BLACK/ red |- |steering column | | WIPERS|dk. Use pink/black. *2 If BLACK/ gray on V6 causes starter to drag, use any one of the fuel injection wires at injectors at front of engine. The injector wire will be the one that IS NOT dk. GREEN/ orange. *3 Use positive (+) trigger thru a 620 ohm resistor to lock, and a positive (+) trigger thru a 2.7K ohm resistor to unlock. Must use relays. *4 In a three pin connector near the door jam. *5 Lt. GREEN/ orange from driver's door or dk. GREEN/ orange from passenger or catch either at BCM located behind right side dash. Use a positive (+) trigger thru a 940 ohm resistor to arm, and a positive (+) trigger thru a 470 ohm resistor to disarm. Must use relays. ------------- Jeff
