Hi Forum,

I have been looking for an aftermarket alarm system and based on reviews the Viper systems come appear top of the heap.

i am trying to understand number of the systems 3305V, 5704- does the higher number mean higher end.....anyone shed some light?

Rather than spend hours explaining, go to Viper.com look at the different units, yes the various numbers do mean different things.

I did look in viper.com but could not make head nor tail of their site.

I was seeking a function comparison chart for viper products but nowhere to be seen, nor is there any indication of the number system

python quite frankly looks easier to decide- vipers site is an absolute cluster

Python, Viper, Clifford are all the same company.
Simply take the two you mentioned.
3305 means alarm 3 3 means built in relays for lock control, 0 means nothing and the 5 means two way remote of a certain type.
5 = alarm + remote start
7 is the spec
0 = nothing
and 4 = type of remote
5204
5704
5706
5904
5906
All above are the same brain, different antennae, range and remiotes.
