OK quick question, I have a customer requesting an install in a 2014 Malibu, and directechs lists standard and smart key. She claims to have a switchblade key but it's not PTS just a normal key switch. So my question is on the DBALL2 do I have to use key 2 go for the smart key or would I use the firmware for a standard key?

A switch blade key is not a smart key unless they use proximity sensors to allow you to unlock the car by grabbing the handle. Generally a smart key is only present if the vehicle has a pts built in
