As you all know I took the DBALL2 out of my 15 elantra and replaced with the EVO-ALL to get rid of the light cut out when unlocking.

This resulted in ligh cutout when unlocking anyway and added light cut on lock and trunk. It also added 1 more great feature. If car is locked and OEM alarm armed trunk release sets off the alarm. The dealer I got the fortin from didnt have a solution. Fortin doesnt have a fix short of hardwwiring the car (why sell me a can bus interface to suggest hardwire lmao)

My question is was the DBALL2 the reason I didnt have this problem? See Im curious does the 4103lx send a disarm puls when you unlock the trunk?

Not for nothing, but with all the issues you are having, I think I would go with a iDatalink ADS TB flashed with the
DBI TB HK2 firmware and hardwire the rest.  There are no connections to the CAN systems.  The ADS TB takes
care of the transponder system found in Canadian cars and can go D2D with the Avital 4103 system ( or W2W,
with only 3 more connections ).

As the Pictorial points out, the 4103 precedes a Trunk Release with a Disarm so that does turn off the Factory Alarm
( when programmed as suggested in the Pictorial ).

This might be the solution to all your issues but being as we have no regular key Elantra's with a transponder system
here in the States, I can't be positive.
