Hi guys, New here...

Pick your brain. I installed a crime stopper RS4 remote start with a SL3 bypass. 09 CRV.

It worked great for a day, then the positive wire on the remote starter came loose. So I reconnected it. Rechecked current and continuity in all wiring.

Now, it'll only crank, and not start. If I stick the key in the ignition, leaving it in the off position, it'll start with the remote starter.

When I try to reprogram the SL3, the LED will not come on at all. Any ideas?

Thanks for your time.

Well, I guess you could use a Digital Multi Meter to verify that the Fortin SL3 module is getting +12V and Chassis Ground
in on the CONN1 plug.  If that looks OK, my next step would be to connect the FlashLink updater to the SL3 and try to
re-flash the firmware.  That would quickly tell you if the module is dead or not.  If it is able to be re-flashed, verify all the
bypass modules connections and then try to re-program it to the CR-V.

Soldering is fun!

I would wonder, if the positive wire came loose, are the wires soldered or just crimped. Maybe something else is loose.

Thanks guys.

I did check and see if the sl3 was getting pee and ground. 12.76 volts. Ground is good.

The only writing that's crimped are the ones to the ignition harness under the column. Everything else is suffered and continuity tested.

When is the LED on the SL3 supposed to be on?

Because it doesn't come on at all. Not even if I try to reprogram it.

Correction to above since I can't edit.

I did check to see if the unit is getting power and ground, with a multimeter.

So when you unplug the SL3 are you holding the button in on the module?

No. Should I hold the button while unplugging?

And I held the blue wire from the 8 pin plug to ground, the LED never comes on.
