Hey there all, new to the forum but have a few questions. I am installing my alarm in my 2000 Suburban and have a few questions. First of all I am used to using normal pin switches and my truck doesn't have any. Where do I hook my pin switch wire to for the trigger if any of my doors are opened? Do I just use the door trigger wire that is described as being on the left side of the column (BLACK/ Blue or White) or is there another wire that I use. I am just not used to seeing no door pins! In the vehicle info I am also wondering when it says left of steering column where is it referring to? I looked last night and couldn't find the wires I needed. Last question is the windo roll up modules. I am using the DEI 530T's but want to know if anyone has had problems using them on a Suburban? I tried using them on my brothers which was a 94 and they burnt out. Just don't want to purchase them again if they aren't going to work. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Hello to all, this is a really dumb question but want to make sure that I do this right. I am hooking up door locks to my 2000 suburban and I am trying to make sure I have the right connections. I am installing the Alpine SEA-8081 and this is my last connection. I know that my suburban has (+) door locks. I have 5 wires coming from the brain: wht/brn lock common, brn/wht lock N/C, brn/red lock and unlock N/O, wht/grn unlock common, grn/wht unlock N/C. Here is how I think I hook it up, pleae correct me if I am wrong.
brn/red - +12 volt constant
wht/brn - lock wire which is lt blue
wht/grn - unlck wire which is white
brn/wht - ground???
grn/wht - ground???
I am not sure about the last 2 wired so if anyone can assure me I would appreciate it.
ok so i was off on what i was thinking, so if anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

A note to David, I did find the correct wire this morning and everything works like a charm. Didn't have to go thru the doors after all. Thanks again for everything!!
