I think I know the answer to this, as a search has implied there is no good solution, but...

I'm getting a 2016 tacoma with the smart key. The dball2 instructions do clearly state that there is no takeover available with the current firmware. Does anyone know of another hardware solution (other than the dball2) that will allow takeover? This lack of function is not a showstopper for me, but before I buy any hardware I want to make sure I'm down selecting on the best solution.

No one offers a secure takeover solution.
