I'm working to get a viper 5706 alarm with the dball2 installed on my 2016 tacoma. I was starting to flash the dball2 for the proper firmware, and it was taking me to a directechs page requesting me to login. Is that required now to flash these units? I've done this in the past (last time was about 2 years back) and didnt have an issue, so while I'm using a new computer is this an issue on my computer side or will it really require me to have a directechs login?

Nope, just a user login.  It is a new WEB page...

Their new website isn't letting me register, despite the fact they say that even if I'm not in their system, I will still have access to flashing and forums. I've emailed them asking them what is going on, but no reply.

It wouldn't work for me either with a yahoo email account, I used my work email and it went through. They may be blocking out some of the more common email services.

crvz, good call. I tried with a non-free email, and it worked, so I guess their own customer service has no idea about anything. What a doodiety company!
