Hi everyone,

I transferred my 5706V RS/alarm system and DEI 535t window module from my 95 K1500 (5.7L) pickup to my 99 Silverado (5.3L) pickup. I obviously had to add a passlock2 bypass module and the remote start system works flawlessly. However, I'm having issues getting the window module to work properly. I want it to control the driver and passenger windows up and down so I verified the vehicle window schematic and wired it exactly as the window module diagram shows below at each door between the switches and motors. Before programming the window module, I tried hitting the switches just to see if it would work with the old programming but both windows would only roll up and down about 1 or 2 inches each way everytime I hit the switch.... "OK, so I need to reprogram" right?... but it did the same thing when I tried to program it and programming failed. At this time I questioned if the motors were working too hard to get the windows up and down so I picked up a set of new motors, installed them, and nothing changed. I put the old motors in, returned the new motors and picked up some silicon spray for the regulators and now they roll up and down just like they were new.

All wires (on my 99) rest at ground at all times, except when a switch is pressed, the respective wire switches to +12v... this is type "A" right? All wires (on my 95) rest open at all times, except when a switch is pressed, the respective wire switches to +12v.
I double checked all the connections from the window module are connected correctly... With the exception of the relays in the passenger switches, I'm failing to see why this won't work the same as it did in my 95 pickup.... at least just by pressing the switches...GRRRR! The only thing I'm thinking that could be questionable is the grounding for the window module but I have those ground wires connected to the same ground as the rest of the system. Could anyone verify that I have this connected properly?

I was wrong when I stated that the switches rest open on my 95. The actually rest at ground.

Update: I tried isolating the window module ground to a more solid point and also isolated its power wire to a separate source but the Windows still only move about 1 inch at a time.

Where do you have the module located? What size wire are you using for your power and ground?

Module is by the driver kick panel under the dash. I've tried 8 gauge for both power and ground.

I couldn't get the 535T window module to work so I went old school and wired up some 30 amp SPDT relays behind a 20 amp automatic reset breaker. The only thing I miss is being able to program the vent feature. All good here. Thanks for everyone's input.

Hi names Eric and I'm new to the fourm. This thread seems to be the closes to the same problem I'm haveing with my 98 chevy k1500. It should be the same as his 95. My problem is my drivers window only goes down or up alittle bit each time the button is pushed. The passenger side works fine. If I grease the track it works better. I checked the voltage and the 535t is only putting out 7-8 volts to the driver side and 10v to the passenger side the 535t is getting over 12v. Iv tried a new motor cause when I first installed the 535t it worked good but the the drivers side kept getting slower and slower till it hardly works. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use silicon spray between the window glass railings that makes the groove smoother. In fact clearing the glass travelling path make the motor raise the glass smoothly and also there wil be less load on motor also see if any wire or any pad preventing the glass path to travel freely. First check mechanical livering systems gears oil them if necessary then go electical problem hope this approch solve your issue.

Dear gentlemen please help me. thanks in advance for your time.
I have a central lock along side I installed window roll up which is working fine. The window riser module is working fine when I press lock button in my central lock.
Now I have purchased window roll up module checked the window down wire under the front passenger seat which gives positive when I press the roll down button of the window. I connected 8 wires to the window roll down but the purpose did not serve. Where exactly I made a mistake. I connected the wire as in the description one wire of the module to the switch side and another wire of the module to the motor side of the window. My aux wire from remote to roll up module which infact connected to roll down. the trigger wire is 12 volt positive in my case. Very same connection is done to roll up is working fine to roll up. Please help where I am going wrong.
