Hi
Installed fortin evo one. Car started fine on 5 to 6 attempts. On the next attempt engine only cranks over but does not start. If I disconnect the ground on the cars battery then reconnect the battery the car will start on remote start. If I try to remote start after the first attempt it will just crank and not start again. The push to start on the car works fine.
Fortin support had me check the can low can high wires voltage. The voltage is 3.9 volts they say the car needs to be in the 2 volt range.
Does anyone have any idea how to remedy the car not starting on remote start. Any help would be much appreciated.

Do you have a key within 10 ft of the car when trying to remote start it?
The CAN wires should read a total of 5 Volts. Ground the meter to metal in the car then with the Pos probe read CAN H the CAN L add them together and you should be at 5V.
Did you program TACH?
Did the LED's on the module show that they learned properly?
What do the LED's do when you remote start it?

Yes at times I did have key within 10 feet when remote starting. It started the first 5 or 6 attempts.
Voltage on the can wires is 3.9 volts each wire.
Total 7.8v. I think this is where the problem is. The car is at Kia now and is getting the can reset with there tool. I just now got off the phone with Kia.
They say can v is fine. They say my meter is only picking up the current voltage not the average v.
Do I program tach on the flash link?
This was my first fortin install. They were on the phone during setup so I could get familiar with there product. I am pro installer. I don't know if I mentioned it. This is a new car and I do most of the car dealerships in the area.
The LEDs showed everything learned properly.
I have not watched the LEDs during remote start. I can the car is coming back right now for troubleshooting. I appreciate your help.
