I am going to change my clutch fan with an electric fan. Now my question is if I where to hook the fan up so it would stay running after I turn the truck would my viper alarm go off?

IS this fan thermostatically controlled? What type of truck is it? This fan needs to be connected to a location that is fused and with big enough wire for the amount of amperage that the fan draws. In theory you could connect it directly to the battery as long as you have it fused. As far as setting off the alarm, this is a dependant on the sensativity of your shock sensor and other sensors.

The fan is going to be controlled by a thermostat. As of now I just have a clutch fan. The only thing is if I where to wire it to be thermostat controlled than there will be times the fan will still be running when I shut the truck off.
