hello all,
I am new to this forum and I am hoping that someone could help me. I installed an avital 4103 in my 2010 sonata over the weekend and I am having a problem with the parking lights working and being to unlock the doors while the engine is running after remote starting it. I tried switching the jumpers on the rs but still no help with the parking lights. I tapped into the pink wire on the plug to the lights. thanks for any insight.

That pink parking light wire is a negative ,did you plug the little jumper pin on the Avital's brain in the negative side of the parking light position ?

Do the (-) pk lights work on that vehicle if the lights are set to Auto?

How did you connect your lock/unlock wires?

thanks for the reply. I managed to figure out that the pink wire was a negative trigger and moved the jumper over. The lights now work . Thank you. The only other problem that I have is when the car is running for awhile after Remote starting it, the door locks wont respond to the key fob. The brain clicks and the lights flash but the door locks dont respond. If I shut the car down with the rs key fob then I can open the doors with the factory remote.

Hyundai door locks won't work with the Hyundai key fob while the vehicle is running. This is how the vehicle works--if you start the car with the key, and try the Hyundai key fob, you'll see nothing happens. Adding the remote starter won't change that. The Avital 4103 key fob should be able to unlock the doors with the engine off or while the vehicle is remote started.

Where did you hook up the lock and unlock wires? Did you test the wires before connecting to them?

Thanks for the reply lectric guy. If I remote start the car with the doors locked I am unable to open the car with the avital remote or hyundais key fob you are right. I thought if I remote started the car locked I would be able to unlock the car and get in turn the key and go. As of right now I have to shut the car down with the avital key fob to open the car and get in and then restart it.
I hooked up the lock and unlock wires at the drivers kick panel.

You have to pulse your Lock Detection wire along with unlock.
