Anyone have a scope and can take a look? Is it a true analog signal, or a digital PWM signal? What does it look like when the engine is off, starting, and running?
Thanks!

Why??
------------- Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

I'm building my own push to start module, and I want to add tach monitoring so I don't have to hold the button while the engine cranks.

Analogue pulsed, approx 3.0V DC but will show on standard DMM's as AC.
Out of interest, if you succeed, please let me know!

Thank you! I was worried the output from the DBALL2 would be closer 12v, which would make things more complicated, but this is good news. I will keep you posted.
