Greetings everyone! Been using this site for diagrams for all the years I've been installing. Highly experienced installing DEI systems. In what should be the simplest install I have ever done, I have run into a brick wall so to speak. Installing a viper 4205v (responder one) in a 2001 Silverado. no matter the tach setting, I can't get the thing to crank for more than a half second. I have tried all tach modes, and learned the signal. It operates normally until it goes to crank the engine and then it just cranks a half second and gives up. Passlock II has been bypassed via resistor years ago so no worries there. I did obtain this system USED. From a 2008 mercury mariner, it was piggybacked to an idatalink module. Is it possible it was flashed via bitwriter and needs flashed back?

Thanks for any help.

Matt

Disconnect the brown brake wire input and try to remote start it. Then troubleshoot what's causing the pulse.
