Good day. I'm still researching installing a remote start on my '03 Ford Focus. It doesn't seem like there's a real good place to go through the firewall although I've seen where others have gone so I'll probably just follow their lead. However, I can't help but notice there is a spring loaded pin coming out the top of the hood latch and there is a connector at the bottom of the latch. It doesn't really seem to serve a purpose to the car but obviously it must or it wouldn't have been built with it. I'm just wondering if anybody has ever incorporated what appears to be this factory hood pin switch into a r/s instead of a separate switch and likely a small metal bracket required. Maybe the wiring even goes to the interior of the car? - but I guess that would be too much to ask for. If anybody else has noticed this switch and has found a way to make it work I'd appreciate any replies. Thanks...

Wow, after about 2 hours of searching the internet I found a wiring listing showing a hood trigger (-) at the factory keyless entry module located behind the glovebox color BLACK / YELLOW. I've never seen a reference to this wire before.
