installing a cm800 remote start in my 2008 F150 Limited, and im looking through the manual and i see

12 pin connector

pin 10 RED / white: this wire is a (-) pulse input for triggering the remote start sequence. this wire allows you to use the cm800 as a slave starter that can be controlled by a factory remote.

pin 11 red: this wire is a (+) pulse input for triggering the remote start sequence. this wire allows you to use the cm800 as a slave starter that can be controlled by a factory remote.

how would i go about using this option?

right now i only have the remote start part of the cm800 hooked up, wont't get to the door locks and other things until it gets warmer outside. so instead of carrying 2 remotes around it'd be nice to use the factory ford remote until its complete.

Not sure I understand the question.

The CS800-s comes with two remotes. If you have the control module all connected to the truck "except for the door
locks and other things", you should be able to plug in the antenna and use the Compustar FOB's for remote starting.
However, if those "other things" that aren't connected include the Brake or Hood Pin your install isn't complete nor
safe. Additionally, you did not mention anything about a bypass module...

As for using the Factory FOB's to trigger a remote start, you can try connecting the CM800-s CN2 Pin 11 Red wire to
this wire in the F150 :    Motor Lock    PINK/BLACK    @ DRIVER KICK PANEL     The default setting is 3 pulses, so
pressing the Lock button 3 times in a row should kick off a remote start.

I have hoodpin and brake both hooked up, but I don't have the door locks hooked up yet, the compustar remote works just fine, I was just trying to eliminate the need to carry 2 remotes, compustar to remote start, and factory ford to remote lock and unlock.

Bypass module is a idatalink acl, all programmed and works fine also..

Thanks for the reply didn't realize it was that easy..

The CS800-s remotes' range is at least 3 times that of the factory remotes so you might find carrying two remotes not so bad.   posted_image
