I have installed a flashlogic plug and play remote starter that works like a charm. I would love to install a smartphone device that would work with this preferably without gps. The flashlogic ascl4 doesn't have an stop button on it which I think is just crazy. Can anyone tell me if there are other smartphone devices that would be plug and play compatible.

unfortunately most manufactures have locked their systems out for only their products.
I know the new Rockford Fosgate system works with many products but I do not believe it works with Audiovox products do to audiovox not releasing their protocols.
This is one of the reasons to use one of the more open platforms so that these can be installed with other products but they are a bit more strict on who can get access to install them.

Thank you for replying. I have called many different people today about this. You would think that if the part number is the same on different brand modules they would interchange.

Proprietary communication between products. It is pretty normal business practices to have only your companies products work with other accessories for those products.
This is very similar in that VOXX only wants you to use VOXX products with theirs. ADS doesn't have an analog remote start system so they have it set up to work with most anyone. If you look at their page when flashing a product you will see many options which may have many different communication protocols for those products.
