Viper 4806V with DBALL2 for 2012 Honda Odyssey

I am writing in to see if anyone would be kind enough to clarify a couple of wiring connections for a 2012 Honda Odyssey with the Viper 4806v and the DBALL2 interface. I am going to try to use this in D2D mode and I have the xpresskit wiring diagram. The diagram only lists a generic remote starter. It shows the following connections which I am having trouble deciphering on the 4806v remote starter.

It shows (-)parking lights and the (-)rearm connected to the vehicle combination light switch 12 pin connector (gray pin 11) for the parking lights. The Main harness on the 4806v shows:
H/4 light flash isolation wire - Pin 87a light flash relay
H/5 Pin 30 of light flash relay

I see it is using a relay, but I am not sure how the coil get powered or how to exactly tie the relay in to the vehicle light harness.


Also, I have an Accessory 2 wire in the 2012 Honda odyssey. If I am understanding it correctly I can use the remote starter 8 pin connector wire 7(RED / white)for 12v(+) to power the input for ignition2 /flex relays and wire 3 (Pink/white) to flex relay to power Accessory 2 if I program the starter this way.

In the past a used a separate relay to power the accessory 2 and the (-)200mA output. I can still go that route, but it looked to me like there is an extra relay in the 4806v.

I flashed the DBALL2 with the correct firmware for the Odyssey. I just wanted to see if I could clarify these connections before I get started.

I have done a couple remote starters, but I still have a ways to go to fully understand everything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

4806V Viper starter

Heavy gauge relay wire 8 pin connector
#1 RED / black to 12(+) in van (white)
#2 Pink/Black not used
#3 Pink/White to ACC2 in van (red)
#4 Red to 12(+) in van (white)
#5 Violet to Starter (Yellow)
#6 Orange to ACC1 in van (Orange)
#7 RED / White to 12(+) in Van (white)
#8 Pink to Ignition in van (Blue)

Main Harness 6 pin connector: (this is where I know I need help..)
H/1 RED 12(+) WHITE IN VAN
H/2 BLACK GROUND (-)
H/3: not used
H/4: Not sure how to use with relay or if relay is needed.
H/5: Not sure how to use with relay or if relay is needed.
H/6: Not used

Door lock 3 pin connector not used

Auxiliary/shutdown Harness 24 pin connector:

Only listing the ones I am planning to use:

9: gray hood pin input
10: blue factory horn input
13: BLACK/ white neutral safety input

DBALL2 connections:

D2D connector to the 4806V D2D port
Blue Connector
3: HS CAN high tan/black
4: HS CAN low tan
5: FT CAN high ORANGE / green
6: FT CAN low ORANGE / brown

Red Connector:
11: Immobilizer Data ORANGE / black

If you can point me in the right direction on the parking lights or on anything else you would do differently I would appreciate it.

I don't see on the DBALL2 wiring diagram where the parking lights is using a relay. Installation Type 4
Note (2) at the bottom states to use the REARM wire only if the vehicle is equipped with automatic headlights

I am sorry it is on the 4806v connections it is showing the H/4 and the H/5 going to an isolation relay. I am not sure if I need a relay or which terminal to use for the Parking lights on the 4806V and which wire they are referring to as the rearm wire on the 4806v?

Use H/5, White for your parking lights. No relay needed.
Does your vehicle have automatic lights? If so, use the (-) rearm wire from the 24 pin connector of the Viper.
Make sure to set the Viper parking light polarity fuse to (-). Fuse under the little door on top of the brain.

How and where would you hook up the Re_arm wire if you did have autolights?

I connected the rearm wire to the H/5 white parking light wire on the viper 4806v and the vehicle park light wire like smokeman1 recommended. This is how it is shown on the xpresskit diagram for the DBALL2.

I noticed your installation is Type 1, however i don't see where on the diagram it references note [2] from the bottom where is says hook up the rearm wire. So are you saying you connected the re-arm wire from the 4806V with the h/5 wire from the 4806v to the auto-light wire of the car?

It looks like it has been updated recently, I did install type 4 and it was tied in to the parking lights. Here's a copy of my type 4 install, sorry I don't have the type 1 from before it was updated. It looks like it is missing the note (2) on the diagram. Maybe someone more experienced can shed some light on this for you.
