I am trying to simplify (minimize redundant wiring) as much as possible.

My car has been wired to start via a switch that powers Bosch 20A (or 30A, I forget) relays.

The switch has 3 positions:
1) Off
2) Acc on
3) Ign on (with Acc on)
4) Push in, momentary starter engage.

There is also a starter/ignition kill circuit integrated.

I was wondering if I could completely omit using the heavy wire harness, and ONLY use the 200mA for the remote start feature.

These 200mA leads would be connected to the ground side of the bosch 20/30A relay coils.

In other words, is is mandatory to use the heavy gauge wires, if I have an ignition switch that feeds relays already? Does the alarm/remote starter require any of the heavy connections for power etc?

In particular, I am concerned about the Pink heavy wire "Ignition 1 Input/Output"

Is this one mandatory for full functionality?

Looks like I needed that pink wire to sense ignition input, for programming and other functions.
