Subject: Avital 4113/4115 not compatible with EVO ALL?

I ran into a huge headache lastnight and had to end up giving the customer their vehicle back after 6 hours and no remote start installed... I could not for the life of me get this 2012 Subaru Forester to even crank, although it WAS supplying 12v to the starter wire when the remote button was pressed, still nothing. I think the Subaru has an "electronic ignition", because I supplied 12v manually to the starter wire and nothing... Anyways, I connected the Avital to the Evo All via D2D and the lights on the EVO ALL were not coming on, so I manually supplied the D2D harness with power and a ground to the red and black wire. I got it to load the immobilizer data and then used Dcryptor to finish the EVO ALL portion of the install. Is the Avital 4113/4115 not compatible with the EVO ALL? Is there a list of compatible/non-compatible remote start systems with EVO ALL via d2d?

And before anyone says just do w2w, I was determined at the time and it was on my mind all night, more of a curiosity thing at this point.

In theory, shouldnt I be able to install JUST the Avital and it should still crank? I tested multiple units and same results. Shutdown diagnostics just showed "Low or no RPM".

Two starter wires in the Subaru.. WHITE/ blk and WHITE/ Red.. Does the fortin do Viper's D2D? I always thought Fortin had their own "data protocol"

Turns out this Avital RS is only compatible with the XK05... so, either I go W2W or use a different remote start that's compatible with d2d..

The EVO-ALL is compatible with the 4113/4115 units if you want to go D2D. The EVO-ALL includes a D2D harness with the correct DBI D2D module connector, just cut off the Fortin / iDatalink side.
During EVO-ALL module programming with FlashLink Manager, select EVO-ALL Options and then scroll down to Option F3 and turn that ON. This will set the EVO-ALL to DBI D2D communications and allow it to interface with your R/S over the D2D harness.

Soldering is fun!
