I dont do many Kia vehicles for remote starts. If I remember correctly there is something about the unlock needing a couple of wires tied together so it will unlock all the time with the starter transmitter???? Can anyone explain how that is done. and I understand all none PTS have no transponder??? Thanks for the help!!

I do 90℅ Kia's. The 14 sportage is an easy truck. No transponder if it's non pts and us built.
Lock is blue/black. Dash fuseboxe 54 pin plug pin 40

Unlock is grey/black DFB 54 pin plug pin 18

FAD is red DFB 54 pin plug pin 36

Test the factory disarm by turning the key to unlock in the driver's door

2 turn unlock relay control is yellow/black rear of fusebox

Test by turning the key in the driver's door twice

Split the unlock wire I usually go straight to the gray/black unlock and come off of that with a 1N4001 diode band facing the unlock wire and tie that into the 2 turn unlock control wire

I've done tons of these this way and haven't had any issues

Aftermarket transmitter works all the time, I usually do dei 4105s in these trucks.

 I did a pictorial on a 12 same truck
