I searched around and didn't see anything on this so I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions. I have just installed the viper 5305v on a 2010 f150 and everything works fine, but I would like to know if there is a way to disable the alarm when entering the truck via the rke on the door. As of now if I unlock the truck via the rke, it sets off the alarm. I have the door trigger wired to the dome so when the rke unlocks the doors and the dome comes on as a courtesy light it is setting off the alarm. The only wire I see that is close to doing what I want is the WHITE/ Blue (-) Remote Start Activation Input wire on the 24 pin connector.
The manual says this will manually activate/deactivate the remote start sequence. I did not use this wire and it is wrapped up with all the other unused wires on that connector. I assume it doesn't affect arm/disarm so before I take everything apart to test I was wondering if anyone else had any experience with this?
Thanks

The WHITE/ blue wire will only activate the remote start (ground pulses to this wire will start the truck, it uses the same amount of ground pulses as programmed to start from the remote). I don't believe the viper can do what you want as far as disarming from the keypad
------------- If i Can't Install it I Don't need it Joe

Thanks for the reply. I figured I was out of luck but I thought I would check.

I just installed a REALLY old DEI alarm that is intended for use with the OEM key fobs. One of the programmable features in it is a delayed response to door trigger. If programmed ON, the system waits 30 seconds after a door trigger (zone 3) before sounding the alarm. The intent is that the door can be opened with the outside key, then disarmed with the ignition switch if the FOB isn't available.
I don't believe I've seen "delayed door trigger" in the programming options for the later DEI's. But it's worth a check. If it's there, program for the delay. Use the code to open the door, then disarm with the ignition key and valet button.
