How do you configure alarm to work D2D? Is it in programming as I can't see any reference. Or do you connect power and ground to the 4 pin D2D plug and that actuates it?

No programming is needed. You connect the 4 pin harness from the 5305 to the D2D port of the DB3. You need to program options for both units, but there is nothing to program the D2D to work.
