Very new to this stuff so bear with me...did a search did some digging and wanted to confirm what I found is correct before I attempt this. I have a 06 f150 with remote entry from factory. Not installing an alarm or remote start but I wanted to add a power lock onto my tailgate there I got a two wire actuator and I'm guessing I need to follow this: https://www.the12volt.com/relays/relaydiagram4.html   2 relay setup?

And for the power lock and unlock I can follow this wiring https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=46343 and use the power lock and unlock wiring from that harness?

Read on a Ford forum that I could just tap into the two wires into actuator and forego the relays...but everything I'm reading here says use relays...what's the right way?

Hi ,
I'm new here:) so please bearrange with me .
I have a similar situation. I'm. Based in Ireland and have a transit 2017 lwb. I would like to add a secondary deadbolt to the central locking . So when I locked the van with the remote it also activates a dead bolt. The dead bolt I have is based on a central locking actuator. Any help greatly appreciated.
Cheers
