I am working on a Ford F250 with a positive dome light. I want to use a 528T to activate the dome light from the negative input of a Viper 4105V. The only diagram I've found includes a secondary relay, that shows an input drom the door trigger. My thought process originally was to wire it like this:
Red- 12v
Black/White- Neg input from the 4105(86)
Black- 12v(85)
Yellow- 12v(30)
Brown- to dome light(87)
Orange- Not used

Would this damage the 528 since it calls for the black wire(85) to go ground?

No that won't work like this.

Red, +12v, and (85)
Black/White- Neg input from the 4105(86)
Black- GND
Yellow- 12v(30)
Brown- to dome light(87)
Orange- Not used

Note that you'll run into problems when the dome light is sharing the door contact.

Thanks for that. Looks like I will be using the second relay to turn on the domelight..ehh worse things can happen. I am isolating the 528 from the door trigger to minimize issues.
