Hi *.*

I use a Viper 5906 System for a few months now. The last two weeks the 515U siren started to make funny noises. Difficult to describe, heards like a bird on drugs.

Less funny the fact, yesterday after unlocking the doors, the siren made its last tone. Didn't work after that. I removed the front bumper to get access to the siren, heavely burnt my fingers after touching the siren. I opened the siren und found the insides smoking and burning. Could easely cause a fire.

I live in europe we've moderate temperatures here. The siren was mounted far away from engine heat. Also, the siren was fused by 10A. The fuse is still ok.

This is just a warning, i'll never use this type of siren again.

Philipp
