Hello all. Buddy and I just finished fumbling for 5 hours and eventually got a prostart/autostart unit installed into my wife's car (2009 Hyundai Accent - Canadian with immobiliser). We did basic function of unlock/lock and remote start only. Right now I have the ONLY chip key for the car, zip tied next to the ignition cylinder, but this is not ideal. I would like to wire in a TBXKEY (extremely similar to a DEI 550/556u) that I have so it needs a key detected to start/continue (without a chip in it). Is this possible? While I know it's still not the securest way to do this, I would still prefer this option to a ziptied key. If this would be the same security as the ziptie job I did then I won't even bother.
Also, we notice that somehow the 60second of flashing parking light "error" occurs at times (lock/unlock from RS remote stops it). The trouble-shooting section of the manual just says alarm active. Any suggestions on this?

For the cars transponder chip, why not obtain a Fortin EVO-ALL bypass module flashed with firmware Version 76.31 and keep your only key on your keychain? Here is a link to the install guide : https://cdn.fortin.ca/download/28261/evo-all_ig_reg_bi_hyu-kia-old_u_28261.pdf You would follow the Connection 5 install diagram and the Type 5 programming. It will keep the cars security intact.
