I like the features of Clifford's AvantGuard IV alarm except that it doesn't have an LCD remote pager to monitor vehicle status. Is there a substitute 2-way LCD remote I can use with this alarm?

Clifford is coming out with their G5 Technology very shorly which will have the feature of using their Clifford Matrix Responder System with the Avantguard Series.

Any Press Releases on this? What's the time frame?

currently they say near the end of the year, but DEI usually pushes dates back because of testing.

I saw the crimestopper pager too - its the millennium FX. The inconvenience is that you have to carry this as a separate unit (either in your pocket or clipped to your belt) in addition to your regular transmitter. If you also carry a mobile phone, house keys, etc., you have too many things  strapped  on you like a  New York City cop!! The trend today is convergence and ease of use. The AvantGuard IV has a lot of good features including remote start for both automatic and manual transmissions. A two-way LCD transmitter would  put it way ahead of the competition. But then who is the competition when it comes to top notch alarms? DEI has them all - Clifford, Viper, Python. Hornet, you name them! So an LCD for the AvantGuard IV would be available only when it suits DEI's marketing strategy and not because there are consumers like me out there with a pine for it.

i just was taling with my viper/clifford rep he said you can expect it to be coming out very shortly. Viper will be releasing a 690 which is a two-way alarm only and the viper 190 which will be a keyless entry remote start. Clifford will be moving the avantguard 4 to 5 which he said will have the two way with upgraded features but he said he wasn't positive that it came with it. He also mentioned that the two way will be a module that will integrate into the data port for all g4 alarm/remote starts.
