Hey guys. So I’m a basic MECP certified technician and Work as an installer. However I never did remote starts and I’m doing my first one soon. The car is a 2005 Saturn Ion and I’m using a code alarm remote start with a flash logic interface. I’ve overlooked all the wire documents and everything makes sense but I have a few concerns. On the remote start the ign wire is a large gauge wire but on the car it is a small gauge wire. Will this be of any issue when installing the unit? The interface says it will take care of door locks, passlock etc. From my understanding I will still need to hook up horn, break, parking lights and tach correct? Thanks guys.

It makes no difference, on vehicles with low current ignition wires with DEI units I de-pin all the thick gauge wires from the 10 pin plug and re-install thinner gauge wires with 10 amp fuses instead of 30.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.
