I have a 2011 kia forte with a dball 2 to and an commandstart starter.
I have it hooked up d2d.
after I flash the DBALL 2 and follow the instructions to learn the transponder I start to stall.
While the LED is solid red I press the program button 5 times. The dball is then suppose to start learning the transponder.
It is suppose to flash slowly orange until it learns the key. then it is suppose to steady green
It will slowly flash orange 37 times. then 2 quick orange flashes and then turn off.
I am able to get trunk and doors unlock to work
It will not start unless the key is in the ignition.
I have tried switching the wires around for transponder with no luck. I have double checked all my wires.
I am about to rip everything apart and start again which I do not want to do.
anyone run into anything similar and have a solution??

Verify the four wires that interrupt the EMS Com wire are connected correctly. The EMS Com wire is in the Gray connector in the passenger kick panel. It is a Blue/black wire. If you get the connection type wrong (A or B) it will still program, it just won't start if they are backwards. If this happens, simply reverse the 2 wires to the cut EMS com wire.

I have double checked it. I even reversed the wires leading to the DBALL. IT will not learn the transpoder. I will go double check. I went with connector B for kia fort 2001

stupid question but i take it the kia is a pts? If its a standard key kia/hyundias don't have immobilizers unless your in Canada

sorry for some reason i looked over the part about the key. If you are pushing the button 5 times that is skipping the immobilizer programming and just using it for convenience (locks,trunk,ect). If that is the case you should not have any of those ems wires hooked up. should just be going through the can bus high n low at the obd2

Sorry i miswrote my original post. Solid red. Key to on to flashing orange quickly. Then press program 5 times. Orange flashes slowly 37 times before the learning fails
