Hey guys I installed a Compustar Cm7000 alarm/remote start in my 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with manual transmission. The problem I am having is after I start the car with the key and let it idle I hear relays clicking from the compustar unit. Then after a few minutes I turn the car off with the key and I get no parking light flashes when I hit the lock button. The 2 way remote is also displaying ZZZZZ on the screen. I understand this means the alarm/remote start brain is in valet mode but I don’t understand why it’s doing this automatically. I did hook up the keysense wire using 8500 ohms of resistance. After completing the install of the alarm/remote start and testing sensors etc. I did have to disconnect the negative battery because I was installing a new radio the very next day. Kinda stumped on this one. This isn’t my first alarm/remote start install but it is my first with compustar products. I hope somone can help. Thanks!

What bypass are you using? My guess would be that keysense wire but I don’t know enough about multiplexed ignition circuits to back that up. Since you aren’t activating valet from the remote for sure, that (probably) narrows the source of your problem down to the ignition sense or brake sense wires (because ignition on/off in 5 sec. with brake held down turns valet on).
