I can't find the WHITE/ red  (-) door trigger wire in my '99 Mazda Miata. I've looked everywhere, and I don't see it! Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

BTW, should the wire that runs to the ignition be fused?

Ciao

Thanks for the help. I found a white plastic connector fastened above the driver's kick panel.  There are two leads, and one is WHITE/ red. Both of them are headed up into the windshield pillar.

The only thing that bothers me is the wire are very fine (AWG > 16). Shouldn't the trigger wire be heavier? Anyway I haven't been able to squirm up into the area to test it with a DMM yet.

Ciao

Door trigger wires are typically 16 or 18 gauge wire.
