I'm currently attempting to install a Viper 5806V in a 2015 accord sport 4cyl manual. I have made all connections and connected it to a ADS-ALCA. I'm able to use the remote to lock, unlock and pop the trunk. It will not however start the vehicle. I did notice that the manual advised to install remote start shutoff switch. The diagram shows where it plugs into the 5806V but mine does not have that port. What should I do?

Solder across the port to join the connectors, I've never used that switch.

I would solder it, but the port doesn't exist on my unit. Shown below is what it looks like on the pictures I find online. My device just doesn't have that port. In its place is just the plastic case.

Make sure black/white on the 24 pin white plug is grounded.

Next but not least if you look at the quick reference guide that should have come with it, there's a table on the top right first page that shows you how to find failures.
Forget the part about the blue light, listen for failures by the number of clicks coming from the 5806 module.
Do all the other functions work, lock/unlock etc.?
BTW the black/white should go to the switch at base of parking brake.
Have you done this W2W or D2D? Go W2W.
Is the software correct?

It's wird D2D. The lock, unlock and trunk functions from the viper remote. I've grounded the white/black wire and it gives me seven flashes whenever I attempt to use remote start. I'm at a loss as I just can't figure out what went wrong.

Have you programmed for tach?
Menu 3 feature 2 option 4.
Did you set manual transmission reservation mode before attempting a remote start?

I was able to get the car to start using the remote. It runs for about 10 seconds and shuts off. I have tried to use Virtual tach mode, voltage mode and tachometer mode. I have not however made a connection to the car from the viper system for the tach. Will it not pull from D2D?

For this install you should flash the ADS AL-CA with the DBI-AL(DL)-HA6 firmware.
This firmware is necessary for DBI D2D communications.

You will follow the Type 1 install diagram in the DBI-AL(DL)-HA6 #43543 install guide.

At the start of bypass module programming, you should have set the Installation Mode to Data
and locked it in as detailed at the top of Page 27.

If all that was done, the ADS AL-CA bypass module should be supplying the Viper with a good
Tach signal via the DBI D2D harness connection.

You should be able to program the Viper for Engine Checking = Tach and do a successful Tach
Learn. ( You could hardwire this signal from the ADS AL-CA to the Viper to see if you can
get a successful Tach learn.)

Soldering is fun!

So, I've completed all these steps as you've advised and how the manual instructs. I connected the tach wires W2W and learned the tach again. It indicated the tach was learned from W2W by flashing the parking lights only once. It still only starts for approximately 10 seconds and then shuts off. When I check the remote start diagnostic it flashes three times and four times.

Start engine, within 5 seconds hold the button on the control centre, BLUE light will come on and STAY on.
That's how you learn tach. 10 second run tells me tach hasn't been learned!
