In attempting to install the Viper 4706v in a 2013 toyota highlander. Does anyone know the wiring diagram for this? Or what wires to splice into on this vehicle? Trying to do myself, thank you for any support ☺

Regular key, has a G on it. No bypass, just whatever came in the box. And im trying to understand where all these wires are. Are these all found under the steering column wrapped in a wire cover that I need to cut away from the wires. Or all the plugs plugged in above the fuse box behind the panel that has the side mirror control switch and wiper button etc.? Thank you for replying

Well, here is where you get to live up to your byline. There is a bit to learn here, Guy.

OK, the 4706 is a Viper product. It comes with a very short, 2 page, install guide. Search in the Downloads
section here or the WEB for the full, more complete install guide. Read that to get an idea of wheat all the
wires mean and do. There will be many that do no need to be connected.

Being as your vehicle has a "G" ignition key, you will need an additional part called a bypass module. That's
good news and it's bad news. The good news is that the right bypass module can do a whole lot for you and
make the install easier. The bad news is that is it cost more money and you must do more research and learning
to find and obtain the correct one for your application.

As you can see above, the learning curve for just your vehicle is pretty steep and that is why local install
shops can charge the amounts they do. The next hurdle is to understand that you will be disassembling your
vehicle a bit to add in the Viper and making electrical connections to various wires. These connections must
be done correctly or you can severely damage your vehicle. And, as my byline reads, these connections should
be soldered.

I would recommend obtaining an FLCAN bypass module flashed with FLC-AL(DL)-TL5 firmware. Here is a link to

You would follow the Type 5 wiring guide. Even though it is a different bypass module, you could reference
this install guide from Fortin for their EVO-ALL bypass module and your vehicle for the photos and wiring

guides pretty much show you all the necessary wires, their location and color, and connector pin position.

With the correct bypass module and firmware, your install in not that difficult but there is a bunch to learn
on this project. After you get a feel for what all is involved and decide on the bypass module you want to
use, you can make up a proposed wiring chart for the Viper and bypass module connections to each other and the
vehicle and then post it here so that the Forum members can review it and make recommendations.

Bottom line, this is not going to be 2 hour job on a Saturday afternoon. Just the research
will take several evenings. Obtaining the bypass module with the correct firmware will take about
a week if you order online. Then there will be another evening of bench prep and finally a full
weekend of installation and programming.
