i have a 07 saab 9-3 with the fob /ignition in front of the shifter. these seem to have unusually complicated anti-theft systems. does anyone have any tips for installing a remote start? also i only have one fob. honestly i wouldnt mind even totally disabling the anti theft because its very expensive to replace parts if you loose the key and the steering lock is prone to failure i guess.

Disabling the theft is irrelevant you still need to bypass the factory immobiliser. I did it in a 9-5.
If you have a manual you will have to remove the locket which if discovered will cancel your insurance.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.

Here's a copy of the same doc on the12volt. The link above tried to get me to download plugins.

No question is stupid or not worth asking. You were once a noob, right? :)
