I recently bought a 2002 Yukon XL Denali. Previous owner had JUST had a remote start installed on it. It works, but not really.

The issue is, it only cranks for like a split second, and stops. Maybe that’s enough when it’s warm outside, but in the Michigan cold, it never starts. I either have to let it sit and re-start after a period of time, or hit the button to turn it off, then hit it again to actually start.

I’ve seen numerous posts about there being a way to program it to crank longer, but none have actually went over how to do this.

I don’t know the specific model number either, I haven’t pulled the column apart to see the module.

Also - I really prefer the two way systems, with longer range because of my job and building, has anyone ever taken a vehicle to get a “better” remote starter installed when ones already installed? I assume they’d charge more? This ones range isn’t all that great, and it won’t work where I’m at inside my jobs building. (First world problems here lol)

Thanks! I appreciate any help.
