I do not see anything about a relay anywhere in the install guide. What part of it are you thinking you may need a relay to accomplish?

I wasn't hoping to use a relay. I a just at wire end trying to get this thing working.

I cannot get the vehicle to crank. The instructions are vague at best

Your info is also vague.
Is it a Rogue or Rogue Select?
Is it Push-To-Start or Regular Key Ignition?
Are you using a remote starter ( Viper 4105V or something ) or is this a StandAlone install?
Which firmware did you flash on the ADS AL-CA?
Which Install Type # did you follow in the guide?
If using a remote starter, are you going W2W or D2D between them?
Might be good to list your connections, too.

2014 rogue select. It is regular key start. I am using compustar cs600s. I flashed ADS-AL(TB)-NI4.   I followed type 1 of the installed and flashed the data to data mode.
All that is listed for connection in the instructions is what I have connected. I have the data cable attached as well as the immobilizer wires. orange black to white black. Orange to immobilizer. White/red to immobilizer. Pink to ignition.
None of the doortrunk/hood wires connected anywhere.

Also I have jumper set to accessory position on the cs600 but am not sure if this is where it should be. ADS ALCA green light flashes when trying to start. remote starter clicks, accessories come on, then it shuts off without cranking. Will crank and start with key in ignition and in on position but then shuts off after 3 seconds. I believe the cs600 should be set to tachless by default but I have no way to check that. I get two parking light flashes when it starts the sequence but5 nothing when it fails.

As a correction I have ADS-AL(DL)-NI4 flashed. I have purple white connected to tach input on remote starter. green red is wired to brake + output.   brown/red and brown yellow to canh and canl. Actually there are no flashes of light on ads acla when cranking.

sorry one more thing..the ebrake output green is not hooked up to cs600 as none of the connections on the remote starter indicate that they are for ebrake status

Correct, the EBrake would only be necessary for a manual transmission vehicle.

Sounds like you are going W2W, which is good because I'm not positive that the CS600-s can
do full 2-way D2D. In this case, you should not use the D2D harness. Instead you will supply
+12V on the Red wire, Ground on the Black wire and GWR on the Blue/White wire. Besides
Tach and Brake, you need the Black GWR connected to the Blue/White wire and the lock
signals hardwired.

I am actually not even sure I am flashing the correct version of the firmware. This will be hardwired and no hood trunk or door locks will be connected.

I have everything wired as per lat two posts.
