Hi all--found this question unanswered on an earlier post. On Toyota, Lexus, etc... w/ factory keyless entry soft chirp, can this be utilized to chirp when you arm/disarm with the alarm remote rather than using the alarm siren?

I would like to keep the soft chirp that the OEM vehicles have for when you lock/unlock but at the same time still retain the Viper siren when the alarm goes off.

thanks for any thoughts if this is possible!

What model vehicle and year? Do you know what bypass module is used?

I know with newer Toyota vehicles you can retain factory beep. Idatalink doesn't show it as being offered so dei is probably the same. Looks like all that's is required is transponder bypass so data mode isn't even an option. Usually when this can be done it also allows user to arm and disarm aftermarket alarm with factory remotes.
