What do you think about DEI?

What do you really think about the company and the products?

What do you think about there so called best custumer support on the 12 volt industry? And please be honest. I know of a few installers in my area that don't want anything to do with them.  I had a really bad experience with a rattler rs and the only place I found the help I need it was this forum. DEI had me on hold for three hour (because I hung up if not who knows how long it would have been).

I am using a rattler 300 by DEi.  This is my 1st DEI product.  I always used Alpine, but this time it was a gift.  I have had problems with them, however found out that it was not the company, but rather the dealer KRAZY KRAZY.  The installers are kids, and do not know what they are doing.  I am not a installer, but I could have did a better job.  As far a customer support from DEI, I had written the head office in Montreal Canada, and was sent a new transmitter in days, along with a nice letter from the head of customer service.  The transmitter was defective (water damages) from the dealer I was told.

DEI seems a bit eliteist when it comes to documentation, info and warranty (none of which are available to do it yourself folk)
On the other hand if they put all the info out there, people would get overconfident all wire themselves into trouble.
