I am putting a viper 5806v in a 2003 silverado with the dball bypass. I am not currently an installer, but did install professionally for almost 10 years up to 2011, so I have experience with these trucks. This is my first time using a DB3 though. When I installed, the xk06 (I think?) is what we used for these.
It's wired D2D with the viper. It seems to program fine. The issue is after the truck sits for 1-2 minutes, when remote started it cranks and fires then immediately kills and the factory alarm is triggered. On the 2nd attempt it cranks and fires like it should, but the factory alarm is still going off until unlock is pressed. I tried tapping into factory alarm disarm in the door panel, but had the same results, which makes me think it's something going on with the passlock II override. I also tried changing to virtual tach, voltage and re-programmed tach again to make sure. I tried reprogramming the DB3 several times also, it went through sequence correct everytime. Problem with DB3? Needs to be reflashed? I ordered the dball on ebay and the seller flashed it for me. It's been a while since I've done one but, I've done remote starts in hundreds of these trucks when I was installing, but this one has me stumped. Thanks for any insight.

Edit - it's a db3 bypass. Not a dball.

Changed it from D2D to W2W and all is well. I didn't really like using d2d when I was installing because of issues. I figured issues would have been resolved by now but I guess not.
