I am installing a viper 5305v remote start in my 2008 Silverado with a db3 bypass. I have everything hooked up according to the installation diagram that came from direct tech. The alarm arms and disarms as it should but the remote start feature and park light flash features do not work.

The ignition input and output from R/S and db3 is hooked to ignition switch pink wire with in line diode.

Park lights hooked to the light blue pin 8 of the white bcm connector

Data wires tan-tan tan/bl -tan/bl light green-green

Orange and red to imobilizer vehicle side
Yellow and red to imobilizer switch side.

Rap off to purple bcm connector pin 10

D2D harness is hooked up to both the R/S and Db3

And the 12v and ground wires are hooked up on the R/S.

R/S is remote start.
The hood and door signals are working as well. Just now Remote starting
Thanks for any help

Looking at the diagram, make sure the diode is only inline with the remote start ignition lead. The DB3 ignition lead must be connected directly to the truck ignition wire since it is the output.

Make sure your parking light jumper is set to negative (I think default is positive).

The diode is in line with the remote start, one end of the diode has the R/S wire coming off of it, and the other end has 1 wire to the trucks ignition switch and 1 to the DB3. I did not check the jumper though, I will go out and check it next. Thanks for your help.

I fixed it, I had the jumper polarity wrong. Once I had that right it was able to flash the codes out and let me know the it was not seeing the park brake signal (black/w wire) from the R/S. I thought it got that signal threw the D2D wires but I guess not. Grounded that wire and it fired up. Thanks for your help man.
