I have found conflicting information on wiring a Viper 5806.

https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=117871 references a 2009/10 Premium and there are some differences between these and XTs.

Trying to determine the correct wiring and I've found contradictions in sources. I included an 09 Legacy as I have one and have a remote start on it.

Here is a comparison of sources:

      Audiovox '10     Bulldog '10 Legacy '09
Battery              WHITE            White        White
Ignition 1           GREEN            Green        Green

Ignition 2           BLUE             none        Blue        < These two are the big question
Accessory 1          YELLOW           Blue        Yellow      < as various sources have them reversed

Starter 1            WHITE/ BLACK     Wh/Blk       Wh/Blk
Starter 2            WHITE/ RED       Wh/Red       none        <

This is very close to an 09 Legacy, with the only difference being that has no Starter 2.

This was the wiring on the Legacy from the 5806:

1
2 RED / blk -   White @ ignition harness
3 pnk/blk -     not used
4 pnk/wht -     Blue @ ignition harness
5 red     -     White @ ignition harness
6 grn     -     wht/blk + key starter   ___\   cut this wire
7 vio     -     wht/blk + to starter      ----- /
8 org     -     Yellow @ ignition harness
9 RED / wht -   White @ ignition harness
10 pnk    -     Green @ ignition harness

Thoughts on which color codes are correct on the Forester?
And what does ign2 go to on the 5806?

Thanks!

I have not done a 2010 Forester XT install. I have done the regular, non-turbo model 2010 Forester.
That being said, all the info I have found seems to indicate that there is no Ignitnion Switch Harness
differences between these regular key models. The ignition switch wiring is shown below. A few things
to point out. You will be using the Vipers Flex relay to power the cars Starter2 circuit. This
will require a change to the Viper programming. Set Menu 3, Feature 8 to Option 3. Additionally,
you will need an extra relay to power all of the Foresters ignition wires as there are 2 Accessory
wires. This wiring is also shown below.

2010 Subaru Forerster XT Ignition wires

Remote Start, 10-pin heavy gauge connector
1 NC No Connection
2 RED/BLACK (+) FUSED 12V ACC/STARTER INPUT................White
3 PINK/BLACK (+) FLEX RELAY INPUT 87A ...............................Not Used
4 PINK/WHITE (+) IGNITION 2 / FLEX RELAY OUTPUT..............White/Red   *Program as Starter2
5 RED (+) FUSED 12V IGNITION 1 INPUT.....................................White
6 GREEN (+) STARTER INPUT (KEY SIDE)...................................White/Black
7 VIOLET (+) STARTER OUTPUT (CAR SIDE)..............................White/Black
8 ORANGE (+) ACCESSORY OUTPUT...........................................Blue
9 RED/WHITE (+) FUSED 12V IGNITION 2 / FLEX .......................White
10 PINK (+) IGNITION 1 INPUT/OUTPUT..........................................Green

Viper 24 Pin harness
Pin 23 of 24 Orange (-) 200mA Accessory Output................................to external relay Pin 85

30/40 Amp SPDT external relay for ACC2
Relay Pin 85 to Viper Orange Pin 23 of 24
Relay Pin 86 and 87 to Forester White at Ign Switch with 20 Amp fuse
Relay Pin 30 to Forester ACC2 Yellow at Ign Switch

Cutting the Starter1 wire for Starter Kill and Anti-Grind is optional. If you don't want/need
this feature, don't cut the White/Black wire and only connect the Viper Violet wire. The Viper
Green wire will be "not used". If you do cut the wire, test to be sure the Starter Kill and Anti-
Grind feature work with just that one Starter wire cut. You might have to do the cut routine
on the Starter2 wire also which would involve some wiring changes.

If you have a manual transmission, here is the clutch interlock info :
Clutch Pedal   WHITE\BLACK (INPUT) BLUE\WHITE (OUTPUT) (+ N.O.)   @ CLUTCH SWITCH

Conditional yes ( due to "blk/wht" ). If you don't want Anti-Grind ( and Starter Kill ), don't cut
the White/Black Starter1 wire and just "T" the Viper Violet Starter output to the White/Black wire.
The Viper Green wire will not be used.
