Hi all,
I am going to install an alarm, power locks, switches, the whole shebang into my base model Jeep Wrangler with no power options. I want driver priority unlocking in addition to the usual unlock all, and also tailgate unlock. I was hoping someone can help me understand the setup.
The installation guide doesn't mark which wire is reserved for 2nd unlock, but this DEI manual tells a little more about programming the trunk release to act as the second unlock wire (page 9) https://www.directeddealers.com/manuals/IG/Python/N5X06%202016-02%20web.pdf
Red/White: (-) AUX/TRUNK RELEASE OUTPUT
This (-) 200mA output is often used to operate a trunk/hatch release or other relay-driven functions. When the system receives the command controlling trunk release (for longer than 1.5 seconds) the Red/White wire will supply an output as long as the transmission continues. This output can also be programmed as a 2nd Unlock output when driver’s priority unlock is desired (see AUX/Trunk Output Type in Feature Menus for more detail).
So if the trunk release wire is used for door unlock, would I move the tailgate unlock relay to the next available Aux output wire?
And since I am going to install the relays, I can make it flexible to the Viper's needs. This will need 4 relays, one for driver door unlock, one for passenger door unlock, one for tailgate unlock, and one fore all doors lock. I think this is the typical OEM power lock setup, but just want to confirm if this is correct.
Thanks guys

Nevermind, I figured it out. Keep aux/trunk as usual & program one of the extra aux output as 2nd unlock, then use 4 relays. A master switch can be added to control all from the inside.
